We mournfully announce the passing of Gene Bouffard, age 76, on July 23,
2025, after going into cardiac arrest at Medical City in Mckinney.
Gene was born on April 26, 1949, to Arthur and Ruth Bouffard in the city of
Milford, Connecticut. He was the youngest of three sons. After Gene
earned his GED, he proudly served in the army. Contributing 2 years in
Vietnam with honorable discharge. He pursued a career in commercial
construction for over 40 years, till 2008. Gene was passionate about
building and enjoyed what he did daily. He would love assessing any
building he was visiting in detail.
In 1981, he met Donna DeNardo in Dallas, and they wed on March 10,
1983. They spent 42 years together living in Garland, and then in their later
years in Blue Ridge. Gene and Donna went on to have one daughter,
Amanda.
Gene retired in 2021 after 10 years working at Walmart. While retired,
Gene had time to enjoy with his wife and beloved dog Bradley and relaxed
by doing lawn maintenance and building his tractor. He was a loving
husband and proud father and grandfather.
Gene was predeceased by both his father and mother, Aruther and Ruth
Bouffard and brother Paul Bouffard. Gene is survived by his older brother
Craig Bouffard, wife Donna Bouffard, daughter Amanda Jackson, son-in-
law Treavor Jackson and grandsons James and Jonathan Jackson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 31st, at Eastgate Funeral Home in
Garland from 4:30pm-7:00pm
Gene will be cremated per his wishes, and his remains will be placed at the
National Veterans Cemetery
