It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William David Raymond, 64, on April 22, 2025. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 14, 1961in Cameron,TX, the third of three sons born to Andrew and Claudell Raymond. David and his brothers Jackie and Richard grew up hunting, fishing and scouting. David was also very athletic, playing tennis, football, competitive diving and bull riding.
After graduating from Yoe High School he attended the University of Texas, and then transferred to Baylor University.
In 1984 he broke his neck in a diving accident. He met his wife Kim who was a volunteer at his rehabilitation hospital, and with unwavering resilience and strength he returned to Baylor to finish his degree in Marketing and Management in 1986.
In 1992 he began working for Transwestern Publishing as a sales associate,and retired as an Executive Vice President when the company was sold in 2005. He filled his time deep sea fishing, dove hunting and enjoying his kids’ activities.
David lived his life with strength and character, and left a mark in everyone he met. He was a force of nature, and lived his life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jackie, his parents, and his beloved son Jack.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim, his daughter Jessica, his daughter Cassidy and her husband Brady, and the true joy of his life- his granddaughter Quincy. Also survived by his brother Richard and family and several nieces and nephews.
David was a loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal friend and an inspiration to many others.
He will be missed.

My condolences. David was my roommate at jester dorm at ut our freshman year of college. I remember him fondly. I have been asking about him around Cameron when I’d drive thru there for years. Never any luck on his whereabouts.
